  • Rose Benevento
    Office Manager
    Rose has been a part of Benevento Chiropractic since the first day it opened its doors. With over 30 years of experince as our Office Manager, Rose is the one we all count on for answers on a daily basis. Rose determines insurance benefits, answers phones and schedules appointments. Rose handles insurance billing, insurance payments, and accounts receivable. Rose wants the best for each one of our patients as she efficiently spends the required time to determine all your insurance issues that may arise. Rose will always give you a friendly welcome upon your entrance to our office. Rose is very respectful, pays close attention to detail, enjoys working with people and is very compassionate with our patients, especially those in pain.

    Rose enjoys meeting new people as Benevento Chiropractic sees many new faces on a daily basis. Rose also enjoys seeing our patients get well from their treatment. Rose feels very rewarded when she sees a patient enter the office in severe pain, receive their treatment, then walk out the door pain free. Rose feels the staff here at Benevento Chiropractic is very awesome and takes pride in getting people well and Rose is very grateful to be a part of it. At Benevento Chiropractic, we truly are a team and we have a lot of fun and try to make your experience a great one! Rose loves the camaraderie and interaction here at the office. Rose also loves our patients and considers them part of our family here at Benevento Chiropractic!

    Rose is originally from the Great State of Texas as she was born and raised there, but has adopted California as her true home. In her spare time, Rose enjoys working out at the gym, Pilates, reading, watching TV and traveling. Rose has been blessed with two wonderful children and she is now a proud Grandma to her granddaugthers, Emily and Olivia! Emily and Olivia bring so much joy into all of our lives and Rose understands how important the rewards of being a Grandmother are!

    Rose is also fluent in spanish. Rose habla espanol!

  • Debbie Handy
    Senior Front Desk Associate

    Debbie has served as an office assistant here at Benevento Chiropractic for over a decade. She answers phones, books appointments and pulls patient charts. If you have any insurance questions or issues, Debbie can address those as well.


    Debbie is very caring and very personable while being efficient and she provides her services with a smile. She enjoys interacting with patients and getting to know each and every one of them on a personal level so that they feel part of our family here at Benevento Chiropractic. We are very pleased to have her as a vital part of our front office staff.


    Debbie has lived in the Folsom community for over 30 years. She and her family have become a staple in the community and can often be found volunteering for numerous events around the city. The Handy family was honored for their achievements in 2004 as Handy Park here in Folsom was named in their honor!


    Outside of the office, Debbie loves to bake and cook. She is known for her goodies and desserts. Her 'peanut butter and jelly' cupcakes are absolutely amazing. She is constantly coming up with new ideas and recipes that captivate our taste buds and always keeps us guessing as to what she will do next!


  • Melissa Hunter
    Front Desk Associate

    Melissa have several years of experience in administration and customer service. She also assisted in the starting of a small retail business where she managed the office for several years.

    As part of the Front Office Staff, Melissa's job is to ensure patients are receiving a great experience. To her, this means making the process as simple and quick as possible for them.  Another part of her job is also to make sure the patient’s insurance is being billed correctly, and that we are charging the patient the correct amount and all correspondence is accurate and timely, including scheduling and phones.

    Patient’s can expect Melissa to be friendly, helpful, and efficient. She enjoys speaking to different people from different backgrounds. She also enjoys hearing our regular patients’ day-to-day stories and learning a little bit about their lives.

    Melissa grew up in Nevada and she loves the outdoors and spending time with her family.  She loves music and she has been to more concerts than she can count.  Melissa loves seeing new places and go on as many trips as possible! 



Debbie's Recipe of the Season


Snickerdoodle Cookies Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1-1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2-3/4 cups flour
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 TB sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon


Directions

  1. Heat oven to 400º
  2. Mix thoroughly, the butter, shortening, 1-1/2 cups sugar, and the eggs
  3. Blend in flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt
  4. Shape the dough by rounded teaspoonfuls into balls
  5. Mix the 2 TBS sugar and the cinnamon
  6. Roll balls in mixture
  7. Place 2" apart on an ungreased baking sheet. (I use parhment paper!)
  8. Bake 8-10 minutes, or until set. Immediately remove from baking sheet. Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
  9. Enjoy!!
